25 blend modes
While experimenting with the blend modes, I noticed major differences between each and every single on of them. Apart from "dissolve" which only distresses the edges of the photo. Subtraction is the color mode that has the most color contrast. Lighter modes are typically made to lighten either the foreground and background. Contrast modes make the distinctions between colors much more rich and evident such as "vivid light and linear light" which are my personal favorite modes along side the "darken" and "Luminosity" blend mode. Dark blend modes make the atmosphere of the photo/subject less saturated meaning that it will become darker, obviously that would mean there is less light or vivid colors. Inversion blend modes make the colors inverted or much more different such as subtract, exclusion, and difference which are the most notable inversion blend modes. Color/Component blend modes are just varied changes with the colors of the image, luminosity and hue are two of these kinds of blend modes but between the two modes they seem different since luminosity is more monotone (black and white) while hue still as some color. Overall, all of these modes have their own roles or intended purposes even if some of them belong in the same blend mode category. It is all dependent on the user to use these colors for certain setting or preference they are trying to present in their photo or image.
