        The Society of illustrators is a group/community of professional illustrators who's goal is to promote illustration, art and educate people, artists, designers or illustrators on its history and evolving nature through exhibitions. The exhibitions help you find meaning in art and illustrations and teach you how art can tell a story or knowing the story behind art or illustration. My favorite exhibition was probably the hands on drawing with Mrs. Wooley and her presentation simply because not only does she share a  experience  to mine  similar and an interesting career  but she goes in depth in the  illustration process and how you need to know what you are drawing, especially when talking about her work with the national geographics Pirate Queens art and cover. While experimenting with the blend modes, I noticed major differences between each and every single on of them. Apart from "dissolve" which only distresses the edges of the photo. Subtraction is the color mode that has the most color contrast. Lighter modes are typically made to lighten either the foreground and background. Contrast modes make the distinctions between colors much more rich and evident such as "vivid light and linear light" which are my personal favorite modes along side the "darken" and "Luminosity" blend mode. Dark blend modes make the atmosphere of the photo/subject less saturated meaning that it will become darker, obviously that would mean there is less light or vivid colors. Inversion blend modes make the colors inverted or much more different such as subtract, exclusion, and difference which are the most notable inversion blend modes.
